For those of you that don't know Blue Moon Cafe is crazy, redunkulously busy on the weekends! We also work long hours sometimes 10 hours a day breezing right past breakfast and lunch. As anyone who has worked a double in a restaurant knows you eat whenever you can and typically you learn to love room temperature food. Seeing as I can't exactly request a veggie, no cheese, egg white omelet while I'm working I tend to eat a hash brown or a over easy egg on a piece of wheat bread "on the fly".
I know that I do a right smart of walking during a shift at Blue Moon but I've never exactly monitored how much. I would love to borrow or purchase (used of course) a pedometer so I could figure that out. This way I can estimate how many calories I burn in a shift. I could take that into consideration on how much working out I need to do when I get home. Typically I am pretty beat when I get home and all I want to do is take a bath and watch a movie.
Has anyone ever used a pedometer? I wonder how accurate they are. I guess this will involve a bit of research.
